Position Summary:

The Director ADF Operations willmanage the overall operations for the ADF Facility

Theincumbent will live the corporate values of treating people with dignity andrespect, practicing leadership, driving continuous improvement, acting with asense of urgency, promoting innovation, fighting for consensus, and managingthrough teams.

Supervisor Responsibilities:
*Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
*Mentor and guide direct reports.
*Oversee the daily workflow of the direct reports.

Specific Responsibilities:
*Manage manufacturing costs and efficiencies including departmental expenses approved budget levels.
*Direct and manage the manpower planning, training, and deployment for operations activity in ADF.
*Maintain working relationship with the Union by following the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
*Provide leadership in the management of personnel issues with the support of Human Resources.
*Forecast capital equipment, departmental costs, and other financial requirements as necessary.
*Supervise the material handling, regrinding, and mixing systems development and operations.
*Review and establish priorities for the activities of the Thermoplastic Continuous Improvement Team.
*Ensure appropriate Manufacturing personnel are assigned to Continuous Improvement Teams.
*Ensure quality systems, including commercial requirement, product specifications, the customer response matrix, and color match and verifications procedures are current, accurate, and understood.
*Plan and manage flow of materials and work throughout operations to support customer Quality of Service and inventory objectives.
*Maintain a safe work environment for all employees while complying with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations and company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
*Develop direct reports through mentoring, training, education, and project work. Identify training needs of personnel, initiate, and participate in required training to maintain the highest skill level.

Skills & Qualifications:

*Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
*7-10 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
*Demonstrated leadership skills.
*Proven track record of success.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Computer proficiency.
*Superior project management and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
*40+ hours per week.
*Indoor, office and plant manufacturing work environment.
*Plant manufacturing may experience warm temperatures.
*Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
*Minimal lifting, up to 50 lbs. Bending, reaching, standing, walking.
*Plant manufacturing work environment requires PPE of safety toe shoes, protective eye wear, and hearing protection.
*Other plant manufacturing task may require additional PPE.
