Our client seeks an Environmental Technician to support a major manufacturing partner
in Richmond, IN. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be on-site full-time, driving daily sustainability,
compliance, and waste management initiatives that make a real impact.
What You'll Do
Coordinate on-site waste collection, storage, labeling, and removal
Inspect for environmental compliance and document corrective actions
Train plant staff on safe waste handling and cleanup practices
Schedule and manage all waste pickups in line with state and federal laws
Recommend process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce risk
What You Bring
Working knowledge of EHS and waste management practices OR experience as a Quality Technician that
will incude inspection and documentation
Ability to identify hazards and recommend practical solutions a plus
Strong teamwork, communication, and independent problem-solving skills
Forklift experience (or willingness to learn)
High school diploma or GED; 1-3 years' experience in EHS, waste management, Quality in manufacturing -
new grads in EHS or Chemistry encouraged to apply
RCRA, DOT, and HAZWOPER certifications a plus
