Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer - Aircraft Designer to join our team at our South Dallas, TX location. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft design, with specific expertise working on Boeing projects and using advanced PDM (Product Data Management) tools. You will be responsible for designing and developing aircraft components, ensuring that they meet industry standards and Boeing's specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize aircraft components and systems, focusing on Boeing projects.
Utilize CATIA software for 3D modeling and design of aircraft parts and assemblies.
Manage and organize design data using Boeing Inovia and other PDM systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure the successful implementation of designs.
Ensure that all designs comply with industry regulations and Boeing's specific standards.
Perform simulations, tests, and design reviews to validate design integrity and performance.
Document design processes and update design databases as per Boeing's requirements.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in aerospace engineering and design technologies.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in aircraft design.
Boeing Project Experience: Proven experience working on Boeing projects is mandatory.
PDM Expertise: Strong proficiency in Boeing Inovia and PDM systems for managing design data.
Software Skills:
Advanced proficiency in CATIA for 3D modeling and design.
Experience with Boeing-specific design tools and systems.
Strong understanding of aerospace industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of other design and analysis tools used in the aerospace industry.
Experience in liaising with clients and stakeholders within the Boeing organization.
Familiarity with simulation and testing methods for aerospace applications.
