Job Description

The Senior Commercial Relationship Manager is a key role focused on serving as a trusted business advisor to clients. You will provide a comprehensive range of banking solutions to meet their financial goals while fostering a network of referral sources and Centers of Influence to generate new business opportunities. This position involves managing a diverse portfolio of relationships to ensure an exceptional client experience while effectively managing risk, credit quality, and service standards in collaboration with a dedicated portfolio management team.

Essential Functions

  • Build and strengthen existing commercial banking relationships
  • Actively pursue new relationships to drive growth for the organization
  • Collaborate with product partners to explore cross-selling opportunities and enhance client relationships
  • Meet and exceed individual and regional budget goals
  • Engage in community and professional networking events to increase visibility
  • Establish and maintain influential relationships within the industry
  • Create and manage a prospect list with a structured calling and meeting schedule for new and existing clients
  • Encourage ongoing referrals from current clients for a variety of products and services
  • Oversee a commercial loan portfolio comprising both credit and non-credit clients
  • Prepare and present loan recommendations to Credit, team leaders, and senior management as necessary
  • Collaborate with credit and portfolio management teams to ensure timely completion of annual reviews and line of credit renewals
  • Ensure non-credit clients receive appropriate treasury management and related commercial services while maintaining accurate risk ratings
  • As needed, manage the collection of delinquent accounts
  • Analyze financial statements and related documentation to continuously assess client performance and risk
  • Facilitate loan closings in partnership with Portfolio Management
  • Ensure all credit files are updated with current financial statements and relevant reports
  • Engage in ongoing sales, product, and credit training programs
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as Federal and State regulations
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and department-specific software to enhance efficiency
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Complete special projects as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Marketing preferred
  • 6 - 8 years of experience in account relationship management is preferred
  • 6 - 8 years of demonstrated sales performance is preferred
