Position Overview:
Total Fire Protection is expanding rapidly, presenting exciting and challenging opportunities to bring your fresh ideas, polished expertise, and a collaborative attitude to support our growth. As a Project Manager, you play a pivotal role in managing and delivering fire and life safety system projects across multiple service lines including Sprinkler, Suppression, and Integrated Technologies. The project manager oversees all phases of project execution from kickoff through closeout, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within scope and budget, and in full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate end-to-end project activities.
- Develop detailed project plans and manage timelines.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct design and scope reviews.
- Monitor progress and resolve field issues.
- Oversee procurement and subcontractor coordination.
- Manage budgets and financial forecasting.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Champion safety and quality.
- Mentor junior project staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a closely related business field
- 5+ years of project management experience in fire protection, sprinkler mechanical or construction (plumbing mechanical)
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and relevant codes
- Proficiency in project management software (ie Asana, Wrike, Trello, Microsoft Project, etc.)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites in the NY Metro area (including New Jersey)
- Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned
PMP or APM, NICET Certifications
