$3,000 Sign-On Bonus
Location: Elgin, IL
Pay: $39.60/hour
Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 (payable after 90 days of successful employment)
Shift: PM Shift, Monday - Friday (Saturdays as needed based on business requirements)

Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of the Senior Fleet Maintenance Technician is to conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, which includes gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, forklifts, tankers, and trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Oversee Fleet Technicians, providing direction as assigned by the Lead Technician.
- Assist in scheduling and supporting all work within the shop.
- Coordinate training for the team.
- Manage costs according to the budget and ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Program and track assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Process invoices for payment.
- Maintain parts inventory and manage the associated budget.
- Uphold shop housekeeping standards and prepare monthly reports and other administrative requirements.
- Promote and ensure safe work practices.
Qualifications:
- Strong teamwork attitude.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Completion of 2 years of technical education or 3 years of hands-on experience.
- Diagnostic experience and ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
- Capability to perform additional facility repairs as needed.
- Physical ability to handle tasks including repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
- Proficiency in diesel engine repair, hydraulic systems, drivetrain assemblies, suspension chassis, and electrical troubleshooting/repair.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain CDL Class B within a specified timeframe.
- ASE certification required within a specified timeframe.
- Must possess personal tools necessary for the job.
