Anderson Trucking Service, Inc. (ATS), a leader in freight and shipping logistics, is looking for a dependable and experienced Regional Freight Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods across North America using flatbed, specialized, heavy haul, and van transportation solutions, primarily focusing on regional routes.

Your contributions will be vital in maintaining our commitment to excellence and efficiency in freight delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Safely operating commercial vehicles over assigned routes.
  • Inspecting vehicles for mechanical and safety issues, performing preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Planning routes and adhering to delivery schedules while complying with dispatch instructions.
  • Documenting and logging work/rest periods, driving miles, and retaining fuel/toll receipts.
  • Following truck driving regulations concerning size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods.
  • Maneuvering trucks into loading/unloading positions and verifying delivery instructions.
  • Reporting defects, accidents, or violations and securing cargo for transport with appropriate tools.

To thrive in this position, you should possess:

  • Proven experience as a truck driver.
  • Hands-on familiarity with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB radios, etc.).
  • The ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  • Extensive knowledge of trucking rules and regulations.
  • Adaptability to handle unexpected situations such as traffic and weather conditions.
  • Experience with the types of cargo we specialize in is highly preferred.
