Systems Integration and Test Engineer

This position is onsite in Chelmsford, MA - MUST be able to make this commute

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled System Integration & Test Engineer to lead the planning, implementation, testing, and documentation of integrated systems composed of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components. This role is critical in translating customer requirements into robust test solutions while balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

You'll work across subsystems and full systems, ensuring seamless integration and performance validation. This includes developing test plans, executing test procedures, analyzing results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve system reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement integration and test solutions for complex systems and subsystems.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable test strategies and plans.
  • Define functional and technical specifications, input/output parameters, and interface requirements.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Coordinate testing activities across teams and programs.
  • Analyze test results and prepare detailed evaluation reports to verify system performance.
  • Conduct regression testing and discrepancy reporting to validate fixes and enhancements.
  • Support hardware/software integration and troubleshoot interface issues.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining LabVIEW-based software.
  • 3+ years of experience with TestStand software for automated test development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with 3+ years of experience in issue analysis and resolution.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively in team environments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 9+ years of professional experience in system integration and testing.
  • Expertise in measuring electrical parameters for components and subassemblies.
  • 5+ years of experience with RF or Microwave systems and subsystems.
  • 3+ years of experience developing complex test programs using TestStand.
  • Experience in specifying components for custom test equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in creating engineering documentation including block diagrams and parts lists.
  • Familiarity with Corrective/Preventative Action processes.
  • Experience deriving test requirements from system-level specifications.
  • Ability to identify and document discrepancies between drawings and actual hardware.
  • Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience preparing and presenting technical findings and trade studies.
