Make a difference in the lives of students and families in your community Pasco County Schools invites you to embark on a rewarding journey as a Bus Driver.
During our comprehensive, paid training program, you'll earn your required CDL with endorsements to become a Bus Driver. You'll start as a Bus Driver Trainee, earning $15 per hour, with an automatic increase up to $18.15 per hour upon successful completion. Full-time positions also include an employer-paid basic health care plan and access to our health & wellness centers with a $0 copay.
Requirements before training:
- Valid driver's license - must have a minimum of five consecutive years of basic driving experience with a clean driving record (We will check)
- Fingerprint background check and drug screening
- Ability to pass a physical exam
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to completing the training program
- Temporary CDL Permit (if you do not currently hold a CDL with a Passenger and School Bus Endorsement)
- After training completion, pay up to $18.15 per hour
- Health Benefits and Retirement Plan
- Nights, Weekends, and Holidays OFF
- Summers OFF
