The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and processes to ensure that all manufactured components and final products meet strict internal, customer, and regulatory standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001). This role involves utilizing core quality tools to drive continuous improvement, minimize defects, reduce waste, and manage the quality lifecycle from raw material inspection through to final product validation.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement necessary quality documentation, including Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams to proactively identify and mitigate risks in the manufacturing process.
Lead root cause analysis efforts for internal and external quality issues using structured methodologies.
Work closely with the supply chain to ensure incoming material quality meets specifications. Perform supplier audits and manage the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submissions from suppliers.
Plan and execute internal audits (product, process, and system) to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and manufacturing procedures.
Serve as a primary technical contact for customer quality concerns, managing warranty claims and ensuring timely resolution and communication.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) lifecycle, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plan development.
In-depth understanding of the IATF 16949 quality management system and its application within manufacturing.
Professional certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) considered a plus.
Experience with ERP systems like Oracle, and SAP considered a plus.

Qualifications:
Bachelor???s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering)
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a high-volume Automotive Manufacturing or other manufacturing field
Ability to read, write, and understand English
Ability to travel domestically to other facilities as needed up - 20% travel
