Pay Range: $81,572.16 - $130,515.46

Position Summary:

Under general supervision of the Executive Director(s), the Business Financial Analyst will contribute to the overall success of the organization by the effective support and implementation of all financial policies and activities for Colorado Retina Associates. The individual in this position should adapt to the continually evolving business environment and seek out collaborative solutions that continually improve the financial analysis, data and outcomes, and budget operations for the organization. This position requires demonstration of the ability to think and work independently, while also collaborating with other directors and managers to effect change because Finance supports all aspects of the practice.

Job Duties:

Operational:
  • Manage the process of preparing the annual operating and capital
  • Report on department financial performance against the annual budget and collaborate with department managers on cost containment and revenue enhancing strategies/procedures.
  • Lead ongoing cost reduction analysis and implementation in all areas of the
  • Conduct benchmarking analysis with other retina practices and look for opportunities to make CR the best in class among similar practices.
  • In collaboration with the Accounting Supervisor, analyze preliminary monthly and annual financial statement for review by the Executive Directors and Finance Committee.
  • Provide reports and key insights into business operations for departmental leaders to drive efficiency and informed decision-making.
Data and Outcomes:
  • Collect, analyze, and report on data and outcome measures in support of the strategic plan, including but not limited to, clinical outcome and utilization measures, call center statistics, revenue cycle metrics and marketing ROIs.
  • Conducts special projects designated to implement specific solutions to operational
  • Conducts formal oral presentations of analysis, results and recommendations to external groups, peers, and senior management, as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college or university; data analytics course work a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Initiative to manage a multitude of tasks and projects at various stages of
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, especially with presenting data and outcomes, budget results, and proposing business process changes.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in data analytics, pivot tables, quick books, Netsuite, and NextGen EPM
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to prioritize tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to present and explain financial information to managers, directors, and physician partners
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with multiple departments both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner
