Job Overview
• Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient mental health needs. • 6 to 6.5 direct patient care hours per day or 12 patients for one half-hour each; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointment per day • Shall be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services for Veterans enrolled for care in the Atlanta VA Healthcare System Outpatient Clinics. • Provide general psychiatric care to male and female adult Veterans which includes, but is not limited to, conducting diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric consultation, medication management, and individual psychotherapy. • The psychiatrist provides assessment of serious and complicated cases involving psychiatric illness, catastrophic medical conditions, dementia and other high-risk diagnoses 2. Unrestricted State Medical License: Valid and in good standing in any U.S. state. 4. BLS thru the AHA or American Red Cross 5.
