American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist with strong orthopedic experience for a day shift hospital operating room assignment.

Job Details

• Position is in a hospital surgical unit with a focus on general, ortho, neuro, urology, plastics, maxillofacial, ENT, robotics, and CVOR procedures,
• 23-bed surgical department with a 1:1 nurse to patient ratio,
• Uses Cerner charting system, prior experience is preferred,
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts,
• Every other weekend required with additional evening and weekend call based on unit needs,
• Floating may be required within skillset,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience,
• Strong orthopedic surgical experience is required,
• Current license required if applicable,
• No BLS certification is required for this role,
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exceptions accepted,

Additional Information

• Perform scrub duties for a variety of surgical cases including general, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and robotics,
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment throughout procedures,
• Navy blue scrubs are required,
• May have to stay late or adjust schedule to meet unit needs,
• Candidates must be available for call coverage as needed,
