Position Overview

As a Metrology Engineer, youll bring your expertise in CMM programming and precision measurement to a team focused on innovation and excellence. Working in a community known for its natural beauty and welcoming charm, youll play a critical role in the launch of new products, leveraging advanced metrology tools and Calypso programming to ensure exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program and optimize CMM systems using Calypso to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and production needs.
  • Perform dimensional inspections to validate and optimize components and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop measurement strategies and ensure quality objectives are met.
  • Analyze and interpret data, creating actionable insights to support product launches.
  • Troubleshoot measurement challenges and implement innovative solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance metrology processes, driving efficiency and reliability.
  • Oversee and maintain metrology equipment, ensuring it operates at peak performance.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on metrology best practices.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Advanced experience in CMM programming, with deep proficiency in Calypso software.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T, dimensional inspection, and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Proven track record of supporting NPI or similar manufacturing processes.
  • Skilled in using precision measurement tools and analyzing complex datasets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications in metrology, quality systems, or process improvement.
  • Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, or medical devices.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
