Job Description
Job Title: MRI Technologist
Profession: Medical Imaging Technologist
Specialty: Radiology
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Friday/Saturday/Sunday
Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours
Experience: Minimum 2 years required
License: Client registration or limited permit required upon hire
Certifications: ARRT Registered upon hire; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certified upon hire
Must-Have:
- Associate Degree in Applied Science required
- Diploma in X-Ray required
- Graduate of an approved professional academic imaging program required
Description:
The Medical Imaging Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director and/or Section Head and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients.
The Medical Imaging Technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images and provide patients with a safe, positive experience.
In radiation-producing modalities, technologists practice and enforce the radiation safety measures in compliance with relevant state health codes.
Technologists support teaching and continue learning as technology evolves for both themselves and others.
Maintains competent imaging skills in the practicing modality.
Practices in compliance with department policies as well as state and accrediting agency standards.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to age and unique characteristics.
Provides a safe, positive experience for patients.
