Veterinary Technician (RVT) / Experienced Veterinary Assistant
Seeking a compassionate, skilled, upbeat Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our tight-knit team.
Hiring bonus of $2500.00 for successful candidate Weekend shift differential and overnight shift differential.

Who are we looking for?
Please have a positive personality, be capable of effective communication, enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, multi-task like a pro, and have a well-rounded skill set and solid knowledge base. Our ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience. As we are a 24-hour emergency hospital please be willing to work outside of the boring 9am-5pm weekday schedule. We prefer someone with at least two years of experience working as a technician in an emergency veterinary hospital.
Responsibilities include:
- Mentoring emergency paraprofessional staff
- Onboarding and training of new and current staff
- Assisting managment team with implementing SOPs for emergency paraprofessional staff
- Assisting management team in daily floor responsibilities and coverage, proactively planning for the day
- Maintaining communication with the management team and assisting with employee oversight
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients and medical care to outpatients
- Successfully use all in house laboratory equipment to provide accurate results
- Safely and effectively take digital radiographs
- Be able to calculate drug dosages
- Giving medications via all prescribed routes: PO, SC, IM, IV
- Proficiency with catheterization (venous, urinary)
- Possess or develop advanced emergency skills
- Comfortable with all aspects of emergency medicine
- Effectively care for and communicate with clients
