Our client is currently seeking a CLINICAL PHARMACIST PATIENT CARE in Indiana
Scope of Role:
Title: Remote Pharmacist ( Prior Authorization )
Location: Remote must be licensed in state of residence (Indiana)
Type of Engagement: Contract to hire (Based on performance, contract for 6 months)

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Decisioning and processing member prescriptions or prior authorizations through various computer systems ensuring the accuracy of all data and updating as necessary
- Organize workload, sets priorities, completes assignments in a timely manner and utilizes resources appropriately while complying with department program standards
- Perform all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
- Gather complex clinical information, coverage policy and criteria information and work within regulatory guidelines to make coverage determinations
- Consult with pharmacy technicians and/or physicians regarding use of medications and advise of appropriate formulary alternatives when requested .
- Consult physicians/providers with questions, interpret clinical guideline criteria, and render/review coverage determination for prior authorization cases
- Safety is paramount and it's important for employees to have a safe and secure workspace and communicate with their leadership when that safety (equipment, system, information) is compromised.
- Demonstrate ability to maintain productive working relationships with team members, other internal and external customers, and management team.
- Dedication to build rapport with coworkers, internal customers, and other departments by demonstrating a strong customer service orientation and a continuous positive image of our client.
- Conform with and supports department quality assurance and improvement guidelines
- Work is computer based and include receiving phone calls from prior authorization pharmacy technicians and/or providers for clinical information
- Pharmacist License in the state of residence
- Excellent Attendance is a must
- Candidate must have level skill with working with PC (ex. using mouse and keyboard, accessing and navigating through multiple systems and screens)
- Candidate must also have a secure workspace/office in their home
- Candidate must have their own home internet access/VPN (internet can be hard wired with Ethernet cord)
- Training is for 4 weeks. No time off at all during training. Training time will either be 8:00am-5:00pm Monday- Friday or 10:30am-7pm Monday-Friday . This training time is subject to change .
- Shift after training will likely be 10:30am-7pm EST Monday-Friday. Subject to change.
- There is scheduled Overtime and working on Holidays. Dependent on business needs, candidate could work up to 4 hours a day OT.
