Our client, a leader in medical device manufacturing, is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team. As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting product development and innovation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for advancing healthcare technology, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Lead the development of innovative electrical solutions for infusion system products, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
  • Define design requirements and hardware specifications based on customer and user needs.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of electronic system architectures, including analog and digital circuit schematics.
  • Analyze circuits through calculation and simulation to assess performance limits and environmental effects, ensuring safety-critical application compliance.
  • Coordinate with mechanical and software teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical designs into overall product systems.
What's Needed?
  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering field .
  • Proven experience in electromechanical hardware development, preferably within medical devices or highly regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded microcontroller-based electronics, FPGA-based systems, and analog/digital design.
  • Experience testing electronic devices to meet immunity and emissions standards, with familiarity in CAD tools like Altium Designer and data acquisition software such as LabVIEW.
  • Understanding of standards such as IEC 60601, IEC 61010, UL, ANSI, and ASTM, with experience in sensing subsystem development being highly desirable.
