About the Team
At Nutanix, our Enterprise Security team is a dynamic and diverse group comprising over 40 talented members located across the globe. This team is committed to enhancing the cybersecurity integrity of our organization while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. As a Senior Staff Security Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to provide critical analysis, contribute to global security initiatives, and spearhead continuous improvement efforts. The culture within the team thrives on collaboration, engaging closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, both internally and externally, to effectively drive our security initiatives. In this capacity, you will act as a trusted Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing essential guidance and championing initiatives that enhance our security posture.
You will report to the Manager, Security Engineering, who is committed to empowering team members through mentorship and clear communication. Our work setup is designed for flexibility, with the role being fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere. Additionally, there are no travel requirements for this position, enabling you to focus entirely on your contributions to the team and our security objectives without the need for frequent travel.
Your Role

Design, implement, and manage cutting-edge Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), and Security Service Edge (SSE) solutions.

Deploy and optimize industry-leading security platforms such as Netskope, Palo Alto Prisma Access, and Cisco Secure Client/Umbrella for enhanced threat protection.

Lead cross-functional collaboration with networking, infrastructure, and security teams to instill Zero Trust principles across the organization.

Evaluate and integrate emerging security technologies to adapt and strengthen the company's security posture.

Provide expert guidance during security incidents, ensuring effective investigation, containment, and remediation processes.

Document and standardize security architectures, protocols, and operating procedures to maintain compliance and consistency.

Drive initiatives for automation and monitoring to enhance operational efficiency and visibility in security practices.

Establish first-year objectives focused on enhancing cloud security frameworks, reducing incident response times, and advancing Zero Trust adoption organization-wide.
What You Will Bring
-
7+ years of experience in network or cloud security engineering, specializing in ZTNA, SWG, and SSE technologies.

Proficient in deploying and managing platforms such as Netskope, Palo Alto Prisma Access, and Cisco Secure Client/Umbrella.

Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture, secure remote access, and cloud-delivered security models.

Solid knowledge of network protocols, routing, VPNs, and firewall configurations.

Proven collaboration skills to work effectively across diverse technical and business teams.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve security incidents efficiently.

Exceptional communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant certifications (CISSP, CCSP, PCNSE, NSE) preferred.
Work Arrangement
Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 120,800 and USD $ 205,200 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
