As a Transportation Engineer, you'll work on exciting projects, including municipal roadways, roundabouts, trails, heavy highway, safety studies, green and complete street designs, and more for ODOT, LPA, and Non-LPA clients across Ohio. Your role will involve:
- Conducting detailed research, analyzing data, and preparing plans to support innovative design solutions.
- Performing field reviews to identify opportunities and constraints.
- Collaborating with senior staff to create CAD-generated designs and compelling visual exhibits.
- Providing cost estimates, documentation, and quality checks for project accuracy.
- Contributing to projects that enhance communities while ensuring safety and sustainability.
- Adhering to all quality and safety standards.
- Making recommendations and demonstrating analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Building professional connections through client meetings and networking.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but not required
- Experience: 2-12 years of experience
- Certifications: Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and creative thinking.
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day. Must have a valid driver's license and possess a driving record that will enable the employee to be insurable under the Company's standard vehicle insurance and general comprehensive liability insurance without additional costs to the Company.
Supervisor Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
