ASRC Federal System Solutions supports the FAA NAS ESS (Federal Aviation Administration National Airspace System Engineering Support Services) contract. Join our growing team as an Engineering Technician, Level 3. Power Services Group requires an Engineering Technician to support Electronic Remote Monitoring System (ERMS) upgrading of associated hardware for the sustainment of several FAA systems including Engine Generators, Uninterruptable Power Systems and DCBUS. The work would include Travel to remote sites, removal of existing equipment, installation and testing of new equipment.
Responsibilities:

Follow instructions of Senior Engineering Technician in performance of equipment replacement and testing.

Ability to perform assigned work in an orderly and timely manner
-
Maintain tools and work area is clean and safe condition.
Requirements:
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years .

Develop or review designs by extracting data or analyzing a variety of engineering data

Conduct tests of a wide variety in reference to critical test equipment and test procedures

Experience working in a team environment

Good written and spoken communication skills
-
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

80% travel will be required. Most travel is Monday - Friday

Ability to lift 50lbs
-
Good Technical Skills, basic electrical installation and troubleshooting highly desirable.

Ability to pass an FAA background investigation.
Education/Experience:
-
An Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or similar science/technology curriculum is required. -OR- A Certificate of Training in a two-year Electronics Engineering Technology or similar curriculum from a community college, vocational education school, military training, or FAA Academy may be substituted in lieu of the associate of science degree, depending on other qualifications and experience. -OR- A minimum of 4 years of experience in this specific technical area that is pertinent to the support of the National Airspace System (NAS).

A minimum of three years of experience as an Engineering Technician.

Knowledge and understanding of the importance of testing during all phases of installation process and final acceptance testing.

Proficiency with electrical test equipment including volt and current meters.
