Surgical Technologist

Job Description

As a Surgical Technologist, you will assist the surgeon during operative procedures, ensuring a safe and aseptic environment in the Operating Room. You will demonstrate teamwork, maintaining sterile conditions and ensuring patient safety throughout the operation.

Schedule

This position requires a schedule of 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with 10-hour days. Additionally, you will be responsible for 15 call shifts per month, including two full weekends on call.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the surgeon during operative procedures
  • Maintain a sterile and safe environment within the Operating Room
  • Work as part of a team to ensure patient safety and comfort
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program or five years of consecutive training/experience as a surgical tech
  • LCN with one year of surgical tech experience preferred
  • CVOR experience is required
  • Certification by NBSTSA preferred
  • BLS certification is mandatory
  • Two supervisory references from the past 12 months of employment
