NEPA Permitting Specialist

Weston & Sampson is rapidly expanding its environmental resource management, federal services, infrastructure, sustainability and resiliency practices. We are seeking a NEPA and Environmental Permitting Practitioner with 10+ years of experience to support our clients and project teams with regulatory permitting and NEPA services for a wide variety of projects. Significant experience developing and implementing NEPA clearance strategies for military, FEMA, HUD, and USDOT projects is a plus.

What you’ll do:

• Serve clients as a vital member of multi-disciplinary project teams

• Support federal services, infrastructure, climate resilience, and environmental projects with permitting and NEPA services

• Prepare presentations, reports, memoranda, and other high-quality communication materials

• Prepare both analytical and planning-level studies

• Prepare presentations for and facilitate stakeholder meetings

• Perform other related duties as required

• Travel may be required

What you will bring:

• Master’s degree in environmental policy, planning, or a related field

• Experience completing NEPA reviews for a variety of project types

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders

• Problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic

• Ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently

• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software products

• Must have a valid driver’s license

Salary Range: $71,740 - $90,750 based on experience
