Data and Reporting Analyst

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Data and Reporting Analyst for a contract position in Chicago, IL. The opportunity will be for one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Summary: To deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights through advanced Excel-based reporting and data analysis, supporting strategic decision-making and operational excellence within the Mass Affluent Premiere Banking segment. This is an independent role, but there will be collaboration with the Hiring Manager. There will be no broader team of direct peers.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Analysis of incoming data
- Tracking investment sales
- Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
- Expert Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, sum formulas, count ifs, etc.)
- High-level organisation skills
- 5-7 years relevant experience
- Relevant post-secondary education
- Analysis/problem solving skills
- Data-driven decision-making
- Verbal/written communication skills
- Collaboration/team skills
- Influence skills
- MS Access experience
- Previous retail banking experience
- Previous Investment experience
