About the Job

As a Guidewire Policy Lead, you will drive the design, development, and deployment of policy products using Guidewire PolicyCenter. You'll lead a team of developers and configuration specialists, ensuring scalable solutions that meet business and regulatory needs. This role requires strong technical leadership, deep Guidewire expertise, and a collaborative mindset to deliver high-quality insurance solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of new policy products on Guidewire PolicyCenter.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable PolicyCenter configurations and integrations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of PolicyCenter developers, promoting best practices and code quality.
  • Break down complex epics and user stories into actionable tasks and track progress using Agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure robust testing and smooth production releases.
  • Maintain architectural governance and promote reusable components and accelerators.
  • Participate in sprint planning, technical reviews, and solution design workshops.
  • Provide technical guidance on configuration, integration, product models (LOBs), rules, workflows, and APIs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8-12 years of IT experience, including 6+ years with Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations.
  • Proven experience as a technical or module lead on large-scale Guidewire transformation or greenfield projects.
  • Expertise in PolicyCenter configuration, Gosu development, integration patterns, and product model customization.
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing, rules engine, web services (REST/SOAP), and Guidewire plugins.
  • Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP), GIT-based deployments, and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience leading Agile/Scrum teams in cross-functional environments.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Guidewire certifications in PolicyCenter Configuration, Integration, or Cloud Specialist.
  • Experience with commercial and specialty insurance products.
  • Exposure to DataHub/InfoCenter and integration with billing or claims systems.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
