Natchaug Hospital is the leading provider of mental health and substance use services for children, adolescents, and adults in Eastern Connecticut. Our diverse range of programs includes inpatient and outpatient care, residential treatment, geriatric services, clinical day treatment schools, and chemical dependency services. We are committed to helping individuals find their way to recovery while empowering them to engage in their own care.
About the Joshua Center Programs: Our programs cater to children aged 6-17 facing psychiatric or substance use challenges, providing the necessary support without the need for inpatient care. Our services encompass comprehensive assessments, family and group therapy, individual therapy, and creative rehabilitation. We also offer transportation from school to the Joshua Center and home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments and create effective care plans.
- Deliver direct patient care, including case management, crisis intervention, counseling, and support for families navigating illness or trauma.
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate care levels and resources tailored to individual care plans.
- Maintain timely, patient-centered documentation that meets regulatory standards and reflects assessment, interventions, and outcomes.
Sign-On Bonus: Behavioral Health Clinicians are eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500, following program guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with a mental health or substance use population.
- Current Connecticut LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A, or CADC licensure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships within a team environment.
- Awareness of and sensitivity to health-related social needs, cultural competence, and health disparities.
