As a Lease Operator, you will be responsible for handling critical deliveries, ensuring that freight is transported safely while maximizing efficiency and service levels. This role demands:

  • Professional driving skills and a strong sense of responsibility
  • A deep commitment to safety protocols

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Safely transporting goods across various states using flatbed, specialized, heavy haul, and van units.
  • Managing routes and schedules effectively to ensure timely delivery of freight.
  • Inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns while performing preventative maintenance.
  • Planning routes and adhering to delivery schedules.
  • Complying with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods), as well as with company policies and procedures.
  • Documenting and logging work/rest periods and kilometers driven, while retaining fuel/toll receipts.
  • Reporting any defects, accidents, or violations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven work experience as a truck driver.
  • The ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • Adaptability and foresight to manage unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
  • Strong load securing and management skills.
  • Basic troubleshooting and vehicle maintenance abilities.
