A large public institution is seeking a skilled Commercial Plumber to join its facilities team. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems across a diverse, multi-building campus environment. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, experience with large-scale plumbing infrastructure, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, and steam-related systems
- Respond to service requests and emergency calls in a timely and professional manner
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently
- Inspect, test, and diagnose plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans
- Work collaboratively with maintenance staff, contractors, and other trades
- Adhere to safety codes, regulations, and institutional procedures
- At least 4 years of commercial or institutional plumbing experience
- Current state-issued plumbing license
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Experience with steam systems or large-scale utility infrastructure
- Familiarity with campus or institutional plumbing systems
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
