As a Senior Software Engineer within our Engineering Workflow and Continuous Integration (CI) team, you will play a crucial role in optimizing Firefox's development processes. Your work will enable developers to efficiently build, test, and deliver our core products, enhancing their productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance Firefox development workflows to minimize testing and debugging time.
  • Collaborate with a geographically-distributed development team.
  • Mentor team members and gain insights from more experienced colleagues.
  • Provide code reviews and technical direction to other teams.
  • Utilize data to create dashboards and identify trends in development workflows.

Requirements:

  • Proven proficiency in Python, particularly in building services.
  • Experience in front-end development with strong JavaScript skills.
  • Familiarity with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Services (e.g., GCP, AWS) and REST APIs.
  • Solid understanding of databases and SQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
  • Comfortable with cross-platform development (Windows, Linux, Mac, Android).
  • A passion for enhancing developer productivity.
  • Strong grasp of version control systems.
  • Experience with Docker and continuous delivery/deployment.
  • Data analysis skills.
