Role Overview: As a trainee, you will undergo training to become an industry professional capable of analyzing workers' compensation claims and determining applicable benefits.

Office Location: Onsite - West Hills, CA

Your journey begins with a comprehensive four-week classroom training program designed to provide you with the essential skills for a successful career in claims adjusting. Key Responsibilities:

• Complete the designated classroom claims professional training program.
• Engage in on-the-job training, including:
• Adjusting lost-time workers' compensation claims under close supervision, with potential assignment to medical-only claims.
• Handling low and mid-level liability and/or physical damage claims under close supervision.
• Processing disability claims with minimal duration under close supervision.
• Documenting claims files and accurately coding claim activities.
• Communicating claim actions and processing with claimants and clients.
• Supporting other claims examiners and supervisors with more complex claims as assigned.
• Participate in rotational assignments to assist with office needs.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Experience: Prior education or knowledge in the following areas is helpful:

• Customer Service
• Data Entry
• Medical Terminology
• Computer Recordkeeping Programs
• Prior Claims Experience

Additional experience that is beneficial includes:

• State licensing if required (SIP, Property and Liability, Disability, etc.)
• WCCA/WCCP or similar designations
• Completion of the Sedgwick Claims Progression Program for internal colleagues
