Are you an experienced Desktop Support Specialist with over 3 years of hands-on experience? We invite you to join a dynamic on-site project in Sunnyvale, CA, where you'll work 5 days a week, providing exceptional support to our team.
Key Requirements: Strong skills in Mac and JAMF support are essential, as 75% of our environment uses Mac systems.
The compensation for this role is $45.00 per hour on a W2 basis.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and support to our internal end users.
- Serve as the primary IT contact for corporate employees at the office.
- Ensure the operational status of physical IT technology in the office, including AV rooms, wifi, and security systems.
- Oversee collaboration tools to enhance user experience.
- Enhance procurement and asset management practices for IT hardware and software.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of computer assets and ensure secure tracking.
- Collaborate with Finance and IT leadership to manage budget and expense considerations for IT services.
- Contribute to training, documentation, and process improvement with peers and IT staff.
- Handle Onboarding & Offboarding processes efficiently for employees.
- Address IT-related service issues directly, resolving incidents related to network access, hardware, and software.
- Utilize escalation processes for complex support issues.
- Follow standard operation procedures (SOPs) to handle routine tasks and assist in defining new SOPs with engineering teams.
- Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation.
- Physical tasks may include lifting IT equipment up to 35 lbs.
Essential Skills:
- 3+ years of IT end user support experience in both Windows and MAC environments.
- Experience providing Tier 2 Desktop Support and participating in on-call support rotations.
- Familiarity with desktop imaging and MDM tools such as Intune, SmartImager, Imperious, and SmartDeploy.
- Strong knowledge of PC hardware, software, Windows 10/11, O365, antivirus, and network connectivity.
- Hands-on experience with ticket management platforms like ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira.
- A customer-focused approach to delivering top-notch service and support.
