Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited MRI program.
  • Experience: Four years of MRI experience.
  • Preferred: One year of leadership or supervisory experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Required: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, Texas Medical Board License, BLS certification.
  • Preferred: Additional ARRT (MR) certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise imaging personnel and ensure efficient staffing.
  • Proficient in operating MRI equipment and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Maintain equipment service records and coordinate preventive maintenance.
  • Optimize workflow to minimize room turnaround time.
  • Participate in training new staff and ongoing education efforts.
  • Engage with patients and families with empathy and professionalism.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives to enhance department performance.
  • Comply with all safety and operational policies.

Additional Information:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • ARRT-MR certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
