What is the Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP)?

Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP): is an incentive program that typically vests over a three-year period and is tied to both individual performance and the operational success of Texas Oncology. Awards are discretionary and based on your position, performance, and potential for future career growth at Texas Oncology. Awards are reviewed and approved during the annual compensation review. LTIP awards are subject to your continued employment through the award payment date, and are governed by the written terms and conditions of the LTIP document.

Responsibilities

In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient's journey by:

  • Application and understanding of the contraindications associated with the administration of IV contrast; recognizing adverse reactions and proper protocols to follow in the event of an adverse reaction.
  • Perform diagnostic PET imaging procedures and related functions to include injection of radio- pharmaceutical and/or IV contrast, the administration of oral contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, reconstruction and filming of images, network image transfers, and archiving of image data.
  • Provide protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Conducts daily quality control measures to monitor scanner performance.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial management of the imaging department.
  • Coordinate and monitor business procedures including scheduling and related front office functions to ensure smooth work-flow.
  • Develop PET teaching materials, case files and research protocols to be used as a resource for technologists.
  • Facilitate training and education for new technologists and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing organizations and regulatory agencies, while developing and implementing PET policy and procedure manuals and protocols.
  • Manage accuracy of patient record keeping, timely billing and assist in developing educational/marketing materials.
  • Responsible for patient data and films including printing, archiving, retrieval, network data transfers, tracking and logging of loaned films and requested outside films.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all protected health information for patients and staff.
  • Lead and supervise PET and CT technicians and office staff in PET sites demonstrating positive leadership behaviors.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead your team through design to implementation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Nuclear Medical Technology which includes at least three (3) years directly related experience in PET technology.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire.
