Clean Harbors is seeking a Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated and safety-focused team As a Senior Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, supervising maintenance work, ensuring fleet compliance with DOT regulations, and maintaining service and parts records.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all policies, practices, and safety measures.
- Perform preventative maintenance, conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and execute necessary repairs, including offsite road services.
- Complete daily checklists to ensure proper unit operations.
- Communicate any unit issues or problems immediately upon discovery.
- Submit all necessary paperwork for tracking preventative maintenance schedules.
- Conduct safety checks and annual vehicle inspections per governing laws.
- Ensure correct parking of equipment in compliance with facility permits and DOT guidelines.
- Maintain standards per Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure a clean work environment is upheld.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Understand and implement Clean Compliance Standards effectively.
What You Need to Join Clean Harbors:
- 5-7 years of experience working with diesel engines.
- At least 1 year of experience with DOT inspections.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge in various systems such as electrical, computer, ECMs, fuel, air systems, ABS, hydraulics, and engines.
- Proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty equipment, including forklifts, roll-off trucks, and tankers.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Must pass background, drug, and physical tests upon hire.
