Responsibilities
Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies consistent with student scope of practice.
- Administer medication and treatment based on patient outcomes, under appropriate supervision.
- Deliver and assess patient response to ordered therapy.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
- Provide patient education for diseases, medications, and treatment.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Temporary Permit Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date -Or- Student Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.
