https://parking.uark.edu/Summary of Job Duties:The Diesel Technician II is responsible for the safe, timely repair, and maintenance of heavy-duty transit vehicles, passenger vehicles, and other fleet vehicles used in transporting passengers to specific destinations within the City of Fayetteville Arkansas.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

AND

  • Completion of a Diesel Technology Certification or equivalent

OR

  • At least five years of experience in vehicle maintenance or a related field


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Advanced specialized or technical training

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Passenger Endorsement or ability to obtain itwithin the first six months of hire

  • ASECertification

  • At least one year of heavy truck/ transit maintenance experience


Additional Information:

All necessary tools for this position are provided by Razorback Transit.


Salary Information:

$61,735.00 - $77,169.00
