Purchasing specialist

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Specialist with a background in purchasing materials, equipment, and services to support an organization's operations. In this role you will ensure timely purchase order processing while maintaining compliance with company policies and supplier agreements. This is a contract position that has the opportunity to go permanent and is an onsite role located in downtown Richmond.
salary: $33 - $35 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: Associate
Responsibilities
- Efficiently process Purchase Requisitions and convert them into Purchase Orders (POs)
- Issue POs and track delivery timelines to ensure timely receipt of goods
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
- Create and maintain vendors in the ERP system in a timely manner
- Support invoicing queries from the AP team
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing KPI's (PO creation time, accuracy, compliance)
Skills Purchasing/Procurement (2 years of experience is required) Issuing Purchase Orders (2 years of experience is required) ERP systems (2 years of experience is required) Purchasing (2 years of experience is required) Tracking Deliveries (2 years of experience is required) Microsoft Dynamics (1 year of experience is preferred)
