What You'll Do
- Perform a variety of diagnostic microbiology tests with precision, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Conduct venipunctures and capillary draws for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients.
- Troubleshoot test systems and equipment, ensuring quality results before release.
- Perform and evaluate quality control and instrument checks, resolving issues as needed.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, keeping supplies organized and available.
- Train new laboratory staff, students, and colleagues on procedures and systems.
- Contribute to process improvement and ongoing lab innovation.
- Uphold all hospital and laboratory safety standards.
- AS Degree + 4 years of clinical lab experience, OR BS Degree + 2 years of clinical lab experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant technical experience required.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- MLT, MLS, MLT-AMT, C-ASCP, M-ASCP, BB-ASCP, SH-ASCP, or SM-ASCP.
