About the Company

About the Role

We are seeking a litigation associate to join one of our California offices in a hybrid remote capacity. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of Transportation, Automobile, and Trucking cases, collaborating closely with senior associates and partners. Your work will encompass all phases of litigation—from case evaluation and discovery to trial presentation—emphasizing strategic thinking to meet client goals. We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn, highly self-motivated, and committed to long-term professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage cases from inception through trial, overseeing all stages of the litigation process.
  • Attend court hearings, manage discovery, and take and defend depositions.
  • Proactively maintain communication with clients throughout litigation.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to clients, ensuring compliance with case management requirements.

Requirements

  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree is required.
  • Must be licensed to practice in the State of California.
  • The ideal candidate should have 1+ years of experience in transportation litigation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and advocacy skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience handling discovery for complex cases, with a solid understanding of evidentiary objections in responding to discovery.
  • Critical thinking and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to navigate complex situations while communicating with clients and carriers.

What We Offer

  • Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 + bonus, reflecting the firm’s good faith range for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including experience and qualifications.
