Salary Range: $19.00 - $25.50

Sign-On Bonus: This position includes a fantastic $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing compassionate, resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. Under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN), you will assist residents with daily living activities and healthcare needs, while ensuring their comfort and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver age-appropriate care as per individual care plans, considering both physical and psychological needs.
  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in resident conditions to the charge nurse.
  • Help residents with mobility and transfers using safe techniques and equipment.
  • Facilitate a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and nutrition support.
  • Maintain cleanliness in living areas and assist with household tasks to ensure a comfortable environment.
  • Support wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident participation.
  • Document resident interactions and care outcomes accurately.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum age of 16. Previous experience in long-term care is a plus.
  • Must hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or be enrolled in a training program leading to certification within four months of starting the position.
  • Complete annual competency testing and maintain continuing education credits (12 hours required annually).
  • Compliance with any registry requirements applicable in your state.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license may be necessary depending on facility responsibilities.
