Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems
Ripple Effect Consulting (REC), a premier staffing firm specializing in engineering and environmental placements, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Senior Electrical Engineer with a specialization in power engineering to join one of our valued clients. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer with at least 10 years of applicable experience and a strong background in consulting engineering as a power systems engineer. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed electrical power systems design for water and wastewater treatment facilities with minimal supervision.
  • Lead field investigations, design, and construction activities to support electrical and power systems projects.
  • Execute load calculations, detailed conduit routing, motor control center and switchgear design, and specification generation.
  • Mentor and manage a team of electrical engineers to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with power system applications, including:
    • Calculation of available short circuit current.
    • Voltage drop.
    • Harmonic distortion.
    • Power factor.
  • Field investigative and start-up experience.
  • Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 820, and NESC.
  • Familiarity with the IEEE Color Book Series.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.
  • Ability to interact positively with clients.
  • 10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
