SANITATION SPECIALIST (3rd Shift)

The Sanitation Specialist position is an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday position from 10:30pm-6:30am working in our state of the art, climate controlled facility, with the opportunity for voluntary overtime and, at times, may require overtime beyond the normal workday.

As a Sanitation Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the worksite as a whole. This includes the production floor, offices, common areas, restrooms, and the surrounding grounds. This position works independently of direct supervision and requires a self-motivated and self-sustaining individual. The sanitation specialist must be able to communicate well with their supervisor and must comply with all Safety and Safe Quality Foods policies. at optimum speeds in a team atmosphere. Morris Packaging provides on-site training and certifications to support your success.

Job duties Include:

  • Performing general janitorial duties throughout the plant and attached offices
  • Cleaning building floors by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming
  • Servicing, cleaning, and suppling restrooms
  • Mixing water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
  • Cleaning indoor and outdoor windows, glass partitions, or mirrors
  • Cleaning employee common areas
  • Cleaning and sweeping plant aisles, driveways, yard and parking areas
  • Picking up trash and debris in and around the plant
  • Emptying all trash containers in facility as needed
  • Stocking PPE stations throughout facility
  • Operating scissor lift for overhead cleaning
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Custodial experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the full shift is required
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and technologies
  • Ability to use all required cleaning instruments and equipment
  • Knowledge and compliance of all safety guidelines
