Design & Construction Intern - North Central (NJ)

General Summary:
Assist Design & Construction team with tasks and assignments related to the on-going management of projects in our North Central Development department in our Morristown, NJ office.
Summary of Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Summer Intern may assist Design & Construction in various activities:
- Program development
- Construction management
- Procurement
- Cost management, including invoice entry
- Issue resolution
- Quality control
- Punchlist activities
- Space planning
- Completing surveys
- Other duties as assigned by Design & Construction team
- Approach to development projects in various phases of project lifecycle
- Working with the clients/tenants, consultants, and contractors
- Use of Rockefeller Group systems and procedures
Education Requirements:
- Candidate for a bachelor's degree entering junior or senior year. A degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management is preferred.
- A motivated and cooperative attitude
- Must have attention-to-detail and excellent organizational skills
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must have time management skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Excellent computer skills are required. Knowledge of relevant operations software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
