Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Registered Endoscopy Nurse, you will use the nursing process to plan, execute, and evaluate care for surgical and GI patients during the intra-operative period. You’ll ensure safe and effective nursing care until the patient is transferred to recovery. In this capacity, you will perform circulating or scrub roles for patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical and GI procedures, overseeing instrument and equipment setup.
- Coordinate and manage the operating room as the circulator.
- Facilitate efficient transitions between procedures.
- Utilize and update preference cards as needed.
Qualifications:
- Nursing Diploma required.
- At least 2 years of experience in an operating room setting, preferably within an ambulatory surgery center.
- RN license required or appropriate compact licensure.
- Valid BCLS Certification necessary upon employment; online certification not accepted.
- ACLS certification as required by the facility.
- CNOR/SGNA certification preferred.

Austin Endoscopy Center - North is located in the northern area of Austin, established in 2001. Our AAAHC accredited center specializes in high volumes of colonoscopies and other endoscopic procedures. We prioritize a patient-focused environment and quality outcomes, open Monday through Friday.
