Heavy Equipment Field Technician

D2B Groups is looking for a dedicated Heavy Equipment Field Technician to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting repairs and maintenance on a variety of heavy machinery at customer job sites. Your technical expertise will be crucial in ensuring that equipment remains operational and meets performance standards. You will troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform inspections, and replace parts as necessary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment mechanics and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Target Compensation Range: $25-45/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely repairs on heavy equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment breakdowns.
- Work closely with clients to understand their equipment needs and provide solutions.
- Document all services performed and maintain accurate records for inventory and billing purposes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and workplace regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician, crane mechanic or in a related field.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently in various outdoor environments.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
