Advanced Life Support Paramedic

Join MedStar Health as an Advanced Life Support Paramedic, where you will play a pivotal role in patient care during interfacility transport. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients ranging from uncomplicated to complex cases. Collaborating with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members, you will provide theory-based professional care and coordinate treatment effectively.
Exciting Sign-On Bonus
We offer a $8,000 sign-on bonus for new, full-time ALS Paramedic positions. The criteria include:
- Must not have been employed by MSH in the same role within the past two years.
- $3,000 payable upon successful completion of orientation/probation.
- $2,500 after 12 months of employment.
- $2,500 after 18 months of employment.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- NREMT - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic
- Paramedic - Certification in the District of Columbia or ability to acquire before the start date
- Paramedic - Licensure in Maryland or ability to acquire before the start date
- MedSTAR Transport or Mid Atlantic Air Transportation Services affiliation as an EMT-Paramedic
- Health Services ACLS
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- Health Services PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- ATLS - Advanced Trauma Life Support Certification or TPATC - Transport Prof Adv Trauma Course within 180 Days
This position offers a competitive salary range of $28.58 - $46.94 per year.
