About the Role:

The Part Time Industrial Cleaner at in our Bedford location, plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment within an industrial setting. This position focuses on the thorough cleaning of machinery, floors, workspaces, and common areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete cleaning tasks within designated timeframes. By performing regular cleaning and maintenance duties, the Industrial Cleaner helps to minimize downtime and supports the overall productivity of the powertrain manufacturing operations. This position is vital in promoting workplace hygiene and contributing to a positive and professional atmosphere for all employees.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in industrial or commercial cleaning preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices in an industrial environment.
  • Physical capability to perform manual cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Availability to work part-time hours as scheduled.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification or training in industrial cleaning or health and safety.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or powertrain facility.
  • Familiarity with the use of industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and coordinate with team members.
  • Flexibility to adjust work hours based on operational needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine cleaning of industrial equipment, machinery, floors, and work areas using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to the schedule and meet company safety and quality standards.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning activities to the supervisor.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts in compliance with company policies.

Skills:

The required skills for this role include attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols, which are essential for maintaining a clean and hazard-free industrial environment. Physical stamina and manual dexterity are used daily to handle cleaning equipment and perform tasks that require movement and lifting. Communication skills enable the cleaner to report maintenance concerns and collaborate with supervisors and colleagues effectively. Preferred skills such as knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment enhance efficiency and safety during cleaning operations. Additionally, adaptability and time management skills help the cleaner complete tasks within scheduled hours while accommodating any changes in workload or priorities.

2nd shift is 3 pm to 11 pm
3rd shift is 11 pm to 7 am
