The role you'll contribute:

Assists the physician in providing medical care to patients of various ages according to the policy of individual practice, in accordance with professional standards and hospital policies and procedures. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan, and to all the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Responsible for helping practice and physician achieve all meaningful use measures. Demonstrates effective use and support of the Customer and Superior Service Standards, within the hospital and physician office settings, at all times. Functions under the supervision of the physician and the Practice Manager/Office Supervisor.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Performs initial response-screening following protocols under the direction of the supervising physician. Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patients, utilizing established guidelines.

• Responsible for helping practice and physician achieve all meaningful use measures. Cleans, prepares and maintains examinations rooms and treatment areas.

• Periodic Duties: Is cross-trained in all front desk positions and substitutes for staff, as needed. Is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring policies and procedures directly related to departmental services.

• Irregular Duties: Responsibilities include the assurance that the supervisor and staff adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan, to the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

Minimum qualifications :

• High School Grad or Equiv Required

• 1 year of related work experience Required or

• Completed an accredited Medical Assistant program with completion of an externship Required

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required or

• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Required American Association Medical Assistants (AAMA) Required or

• American Medical Technologists (AMT) Required or

• National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Required or

• National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Required or

• NAHP Nat'l Reg Cert Med Asst (NAHPCMA) Required or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) Required or

• American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) Required

Preferred qualifications :

• 1 year working experience within the medical/healthcare field with experience communicating with all levels of staff Preferred
