At Cadence, Inc., we're more than a manufacturer - we're a partner in improving lives. As a contract manufacturer of medical and life science devices, we help the world's leading healthcare companies bring innovative, life-saving technologies to patients faster and with precision. Our team of 800+ employees across the U.S. and Costa Rica is united by one mission: advancing patient outcomes through excellence in manufacturing. That mission begins with our people - and that's where you come in.

As the HR Generalist supporting our Northeast facilities, you'll be at the heart of our people operations, ensuring our teams have the support, clarity, and confidence they need to do their best work. You'll handle a mix of hands-on HR activity and process improvement - managing employee relations, guiding performance management, and driving efficiency in our HR systems and practices. Your work helps create the environment where employees who make life-changing medical products can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted HR contact for employees and managers across multiple sites, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employee relations issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state (CT/RI) employment laws and company policies.
  • Support performance management processes including coaching leaders, facilitating reviews, and maintaining documentation.
  • Lead or assist with full-cycle recruiting for manufacturing and technical roles, including machinists, tool & die, machine operators, and quality inspectors.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruiting strategies and streamline selection processes.
  • Enter and maintain data in the Company's HRIS and ATS systems
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, digitize, and automate HR processes.
  • Support onboarding, new hire orientation, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive employee information and issues.
  • Contribute to broader HR projects and initiatives across the Northeast region.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
  • 3-5 years of HR generalist experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of CT and RI employment law and HR compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and ATS systems (UKG, Workday, or similar), including report generation and process improvement.
  • Proven ability to recruit for technical manufacturing roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple sites.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
Preferred Skills and Attributes:
  • Experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Process improvement mindset - ability to identify efficiencies and implement practical solutions.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and resourceful with a continuous improvement orientation.

Every HR action you take - from hiring a skilled machinist to coaching a supervisor - supports the creation of medical products that touch real patients' lives. You'll play a direct role in shaping the teams and culture that make advancing patient outcomes possible
