Ballad Health Medical Associates is seeking a Full-Time, Board-Certified Psychiatrist licensed in Virginia and Tennessee (or willing to obtain VA licensure) for an inpatient role at Ridgeview Pavilion, a 28-bed adult psychiatric unit serving Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee.

  • Receptive to Discussion (7 on/7 off or M-F)

Location

Ridgeview Pavilion is designed to provide short-term stabilization and treatment for adults whose treatment needs, mandate inpatient stabilization and treatment. The unit s goal is to return patients to a level of acuity in which comprehensive outpatient care can continue to improve the quality of life for the patient. Ridgeview Pavilion is a busy unit, accepting referrals and admissions 24-hours-a-day, 365 days per year. Most referrals come through the many Community Service Boards (CSBs) throughout the state of Virginia, and their Mandatory Screeners assess patients during psychiatric crises. The unit also accepts voluntary admissions from Bristol Regional Medical Center, a tertiary care center located just across the state line in Bristol, Tennessee. In order to promote successful reintegration back into the community, family members, local CSBs and/or the court systems work with the Ridgeview Pavilion team during the treatment and discharge process to ensure smooth transitions back into the patients communities.
